Playa del Inglés
Dieser nach Las Palmas wohl bekannteste Ort der Insel beginnt hinter San Agustín recht schmal, wird nach Süden aber auf einem etwa 30 m hohen Küstensockel wie ein Keil ständig breiter. Die faszinierende Dünenlandschaft von Playa del Inglés erinnert an afrikanische Wüste, der ca. acht Kilometer lange Sandstrand zieht sich bis hin zum Nachbarort Maspalomas.
Rund um die Uhr wird in Playa del Inglés Unterhaltung geboten. Der touristische Dreh- und Angelpunkt der Insel verschlägt einem den Atem.Viele Hotels haben gleich eine Diskothek angeschlossen, manche sogar unter freiem Himmel.
